The app
Gapeye measures a width, a height, a diagonal, or a volume by tapping points. Diagonal can be two opposite corners, or width and height with the app calculating the diagonal. Volume is length, height, and depth, and the app calculates it. The app does not say whether something fits, and it has no size chart and no object types. The full store name is Gapeye - Ai Measure the Gap. Readings include a ± range because they are approximate. Confirm with a tape measure before you cut, drill, or buy. Do not use the app for a measurement where a mistake could injure someone.
Trying it
A new install can take two measures with no account. A measure counts when the app produces a finished size, not when the camera opens. On the tap screen that is when the points for the chosen mode are done. On the camera screen that is when a complete width, height, or calculated diagonal is shown. On the bank-card screen that is when you tap Use this. The same finished reading does not count twice. Starting a third measure, or tapping Ask Ai, asks you to create an account. Ask Ai itself is not a counted measure. Signing up unlocks Basic: unlimited measuring and 5 free Ai answers for the life of the account, counted on the server. Gapeye Pro removes ads, includes unlimited Ai on the smarter model, and adds Measure & save and a PDF.
Your account
You can sign in with Apple, Google, or email. You are responsible for the activity on your account. You can download your data and delete the account in the app, or follow the deletion page. Our privacy policy explains the data. Help is on the support page.
Gapeye Pro
Gapeye Pro is one auto-renewing annual subscription, product id pro_annual. On Google Play the base plan id is annual. It removes ads, includes unlimited Ai on the smarter model, and adds Measure & save and a PDF. The store shows the price before you pay. The price we intend to set is 3.99 in the United Kingdom, 3.99 in euro countries, and 3.99 in the United States. Other countries use the store price tier equivalent to 3.99. Apple or Google charge you, and they handle refunds under their rules. RevenueCat records the entitlement. We do not see your card number.
The subscription renews each year until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, in your Apple ID subscriptions or in Google Play subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Restoring purchases is available in the app.
Ads
The free version can show ads on Settings and Account after you have an account and after the first session. Ads are never placed on the camera or the measuring screen, and not on the opener. You can refuse personalised ads in the UMP form. Gapeye Pro removes ads.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app, attempt to break the account system, or use it in a way that harms other people. We may suspend an account that is used to attack the service. You can still ask us to delete the personal data.
Our rights
We own the app and the Gapeye brand. You keep the photos you take. You give us permission to store a Measure & save photo and its text, including the mode and the measurements, so that feature can work, and to send the mode, the measurements, a photo, and an optional note to our cloud AI service only when you tap Ask Ai.
Liability
The app is an aid, not a certified measuring instrument. We are not liable for the cost of a wrong cut, a wrong part, or lost time, except where the law does not allow that limit. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any statutory right that cannot legally be limited.
Consumers
If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory rights of the country where you live, including in the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and the United States. Store refunds for the subscription go through Apple or Google. Spanish law governs the contract, except where a consumer law in your country forces a different law or a court where you live.
Changes
We can update these terms by posting a new page at this address. The date at the top will change. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply to the ongoing use.
